1. Strength and Health: Please grant me physical strength and good health so that I may not grow weary while serving in the mission field with limited medical facilities.
2. Ministry Environment and Safety: May all administrative processes, such as visa applications, and matters of safety be guided by God and proceed smoothly.
3. A Graceful Transition: As I prepare to leave for a two-year mission, please help me bring closure to my Korean life and relationships in Korea in a wise and peaceful way.
4. Spiritual Preparation for the Calling: May I faithfully complete my missionary training and become a “prepared missionary” who fully reveals God’s glory.
5. Provision for the Mission: May all the financial support needed for the mission be abundantly provided in God’s way

From "Never" to "Joyful Surrender”

Hello, my name is Sun-jin Kim.

I grew up as a Missionary Kid (MK) in Mongolia and Cambodia, following my parents’ footsteps. To be honest, growing up, my firm resolution was: "I will never, ever become a missionary."

Living in environments far more challenging than Korea meant facing economic hardship and constant cultural barriers. As a foreigner, I often faced discrimination and the relentless pressure of adapting to new languages and cultures. For these reasons, a missionary’s life was the last thing I wanted for my future.

However, God had a different plan for me. He waited for the perfect moment—a time when the calling would not feel like a burden, but a profound joy. He called me to fulfill my lifelong dream of helping missionaries and the underprivileged by becoming a missionary myself.

Starting this January, I am undergoing missionary training with OM (Operation Mobilisation). Upon completion, I will board the mission ship, 'Doulos Hope', to spread the Gospel to the ends of the earth.

What was once a scar has now become a star of mission. I invite you to join me on this journey as a partner in prayer and support.
